About the team
As our Strategic Finance & FP&A Manager, you will lead high-priority financial projects to drive rapid growth, guide company strategy, and create long-term value. This is a true player-coach role: you'll be equally comfortable deep in the weeds of a forecast and zoomed out framing the big-picture story for our executive team. You'll have the opportunity to own critical workstreams from start to finish, build planning processes from the ground up, collaborate closely with the executive team, and work cross-functionally across the business to manage risks and identify opportunities.
This is a high-impact seat where you'll have the chance to design and stand up the FP&A infrastructure that carries us through our next phase of scale. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, analytically rigorous, and impact-oriented setting, this role is for you.
This role reports to the Director of Finance.
Alloy operates in a hybrid-work environment. We look to foster collaboration and community by having our local employees onsite three days a week.
What you'll be doing
- Own the FP&A process front to back — from data inputs and model mechanics through to the insights and recommendations that reach the executive team
- Build and stand up core planning processes from scratch, establishing the cadence, structure, and rigor that will scale with the company
- Develop and maintain our headcount model, opex model, and cash flow forecasts, ensuring rigorous analysis and accuracy
- Develop and monitor critical financial performance metrics, and translate them into actionable insights for stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Operations
Who we’re looking for
- 4-7 years of relevant work experience, including 2+ years in investment banking, private equity, or strategic finance at a high-growth company
- A player-coach who thrives at both altitudes: you can dig into the nitty-gritty of a model and then step back to think strategically about what it means for the business
- Exceptional Excel and financial modeling skills with deep understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to effectively translate data into actionable insights and financial plans
- Ownership is important to you. You take pride in the quality and impact of your work, and you carry projects from start to finish
- Exceptional attention to detail. You dig beneath the surface of every number, question assumptions, and are constantly seeking to understand "why."
- Experience working with modern ERP and HRIS platforms such as NetSuite and Rippling
