As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. - Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, academic spaces, walkways, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter locations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, suspicious activity, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and appropriate campus personnel.
- Help to deter unauthorized access and prohibited activity by monitoring assigned areas, verifying access as directed, and reporting unusual conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
