In this role, you will support and maintain existing products to ensure they remain fully operational and improve and develop new solutions for robust hardware.Success in this role requires both technical excellence and the ability to adapt and make decisions under uncertainty.Your ResponsibilitiesEnsure that the robotics systems are ready to be used at all timesCreate detailed documentation, technical drawings, and assembly instructions for testing rigs or needed componentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, manufacturing) to ensure seamless system integrationMaintain Bill of Materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and quality control documentation, support and creation of SOPsTroubleshoot and resolve mechanics and electronics issues during development and production phasesStay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in robotics and mechanical/electronics designPerform assembly and disassembly of robots components, cables, and PCBs and other devicesCarry out soldering, desoldering, wiring, and basic troubleshooting tasks (e.g. oscilloscope, signal analyzers)Support procurement activities by identifying suitable products which meet requirements, sourcing suppliers, and obtaining quotationsOpen to travel to China for business tripsThe role involves significant travel (approximately 50%) to client sitesWork autonomously on open-ended, evolving tasksEssential SkillsHands-on experience with soldering SMD componentsProficiency in Altium / Solidworks is recommendedProficiency in English, Spoken and writtenKnowledge of electronics design principlesKnowledge of actuators and sensors using robotics, familiarity with sensor integration (force/torque sensors, encoders, IMUs) is recommendedHands-on experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing, CNC machining, laser cutting) is recommendedAble to find fast solutions to common problemsBeneficial SkillsMinimum 3-5 years of proven work experience in related fieldsExperience in robotics, mechatronics, or automation industriesBackground in designing robust cabling solutions and cable harnessesFamiliarity with electronics design and PCB production stagesKnowledge of structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis to validate designsYour ProfileStrong problem-solving and analytical thinkingEmpathy and excellent communication skills to enable great teamworkSelf-motivated with a passion for cutting-edge robotics technologyDetail-oriented with a focus on robust system designAdaptable to fast-paced development cyclesFirmware development experienceWhat we offerDynamic high-tech startup combined with financial soundness and world-class investorsChallenging tasks and projects for your professional growth, with an open-minded environment for creativity and personal developmentCorporate benefits program that covers health, sports, mobility and language coursesGreat working environment in an interdisciplinary, international teamAbout usAgile Robots SE is an international high-tech company based in Munich, Germany with a production site in Kaufbeuren and more than 2300 employees worldwide.
