Descope is a developer-first identity provider for customers, partners, and AI agents. Our drag & drop approach to identity enables developers to easily deploy authentication, MFA, SSO, and MCP / AI agent auth without writing custom code.
Descope is trusted by over 1000 organizations in production including GoFundMe, Databricks, GoodRx, Linktree, and You.com. The company has $88M in seed funding led by Lightspeed and Notable Capital.
We're "descoping" authentication plumbing from developers' daily lives while helping organizations turn identity into a business enabler. Come join us!
About the role:
We’re looking for an exceptional Sales Development Representative to join us in building Descope's business across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Benelux region.
This isn't simply an SDR position.
It's an opportunity to build your career inside one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity companies in the world, working alongside a team that has repeatedly built category-defining businesses and is now redefining the future of identity.
We’re looking for someone who wants to become exceptional.
Not someone looking for the easiest path.
Someone who is intellectually curious, highly analytical, systematic in how they work, disciplined in how they execute, and genuinely committed to becoming better every single week.
Someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do.
Someone who enjoys solving difficult problems, challenges assumptions, takes ownership, and consistently looks for ways to improve both themselves and the team around them.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to talk.
What You’ll Do:
This is a true greenfield opportunity.
We're building Descope's presence across the DACH and Benelux markets from the ground up.
You won't inherit an established customer base, a predictable stream of inbound leads, or a mature territory. Instead, you'll play a foundational role in introducing one of the industry's most innovative identity platforms to some of Europe's largest and most respected enterprises. You'll work directly with me to identify and prioritize strategic accounts, develop thoughtful account-based outreach strategies, engage senior business and technical decision-makers, and create opportunities with organizations that may be discovering Descope for the first time.
This is a highly consultative role. You'll attend industry conferences and executive events, meet with enterprise customers, learn how to uncover business and technical challenges, ask thoughtful questions, build credibility, and develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
Along the way, you'll gain exposure to complex enterprise sales cycles and some of the most important cybersecurity and AI initiatives underway across the region. Success won't come from sending hundreds of generic emails or following a script. It will come from preparation, curiosity, discipline, thoughtful research, intelligent outreach, and a genuine desire to understand our customers' businesses and help solve meaningful problems.
You'll have a front-row seat as we establish Descope as a trusted identity partner across DACH and Benelux. The relationships you help create today have the potential to become some of the company's most strategic customers over the years ahead.
If the idea of helping build a market from scratch excites you, and you want to accelerate your career by learning how enterprise sales is practiced at the highest level, you'll find this role both challenging and incredibly rewarding.
What We’re Looking For:
The people who succeed in this role typically share a number of characteristics:
- Fluency in German and English- Must.
- A strong understanding of German business culture and the professionalism expected when engaging enterprise customers across DACH.
- Intellectual curiosity and a genuine desire to understand how businesses and technology work.
- Exceptional discipline and personal accountability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A systematic approach to planning, execution, and continuous improvement.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Coachability combined with independent thinking.
- Emotional resilience and consistency.
- Humility.
- High personal standards.
- A genuine interest in cybersecurity, identity, AI, and enterprise technology.
- You don't need to know everything.
- You do need to enjoy learning.
- You should naturally ask questions.
- You should enjoy reading, researching, experimenting, and improving.
- You should find satisfaction in mastering difficult subjects rather than avoiding them.
- Most importantly, you should care about becoming outstanding at your profession.
