Senior Mechanical Engineer

You will lead mechanical design activities during product development. This will include system layout, mechanical design, and evaluation of feature and cost trade-offs. You will oversee and coordinate the work of partner engineers and overseas engineering teams to ensure the right rate of progress and engineering quality are being achieved. You will facilitate stakeholder discussions to ensure cross-discipline collaboration, and to identify and resolve conflicting engineering needs. You will identify the most significant program risks, develop the necessary mitigation plans, and communicate team progress through regular reports and reviews. Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, or related field. OR Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related technical engineering experience. OR Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related technical engineering experience. OR Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related technical engineering experience. OR Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related technical engineering experience. OR Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field. OR equivalent experience. Experience in design of electro-mechanical assemblies, including familiarity with common manufacturing methods such as machining, injection molding, and metal forming. Experience with system layout and architectural trade-offs for laptop and tablet designs. Experience with collaboration and oversight of the engineering development activities for overseas suppliers and partners. Proficiency with Computer Aided Design (CAD), preference for Creo.
