The Opportunity
As a Field Service Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting service operations by managing service contracts, installations, maintenance activities, inventory, and service-related processes. You will leverage your analytical skills and operational expertise to ensure efficient service delivery while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Service Operations & Customer Support
- Manage service contract documentation and ensure accurate record keeping.
- Coordinate new and demo equipment installations.
- Support service case management and resolution activities.
- Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and retrofit programs.
- Ensure timely and effective execution of field service operations.
Inventory & Asset Management
- Manage spare parts inventory to ensure service continuity and operational efficiency.
- Support inventory monitoring, replenishment, and tracking activities.
- Oversee invoicing and product return processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to inventory and service activities.
Operational Excellence
- Perform specialized operational tasks and conduct independent analysis to improve service outcomes.
- Support projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and service performance.
- Make informed decisions within assigned responsibilities, utilizing advanced knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and process optimization initiatives.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure adherence to Alcon quality standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation to support compliance activities.
- Support quality control processes and operational audits as required.
- Complete all mandatory compliance and training requirements.
- Actively contribute to maintaining a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Experience in medical device service operations.
- Strong SAP/ERP proficiency.
- Excellent English and Arabic communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional activities between engineers, customers, logistics, finance, and commercial teams.
