What you will do
Johnson Controls is committed to helping customers protect people, property, and operations through reliable security and building technology solutions. In this role, you will support the maintenance and coordination of bank security and physical security equipment with a strong focus on service quality, responsiveness, and system reliability.
You will work with internal partners and vendors to help keep the electronic security program operating smoothly, while ensuring deliverables align with company standards and industry best practices.
This position provides coordination and maintenance support for Corporate Security electronic security systems, including alarm, digital video, and card access platforms. The role is hands-on, service-oriented, and focused on keeping security systems maintained, documented, and available when needed.
How you will do it
- Provide coordination and maintenance support for bank security and physical security equipment.
- Ensure security deliverables are implemented in line with company standards and industry best practices.
- Engage with vendors to keep the electronic security program consistently maintained and operational.
- Provide technical support and diagnostics for complex alarm, digital video, and card access systems.
- Program, maintain, and update information for Corporate Security electronic security systems.
- Initiate service calls for repairs related to video, alarm, and card access systems.
- Remotely program system maintenance and repairs for vendors during service operations.
- Identify potential issues with electronic security systems and escalate unresolved risks in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with peers, managers, clients, integrators, vendors, tenants, and other partners.
- Own outcomes with accountability by tracking service activity, following through on repairs, and escalating risk when issues cannot be resolved independently.
- Stay close to the work by responding quickly to technical needs, supporting vendors during service events, and keeping systems available for daily operations.
- Use practical diagnostics to troubleshoot alarm, video, and access control issues, then document findings clearly and accurately.
- Improve every day by spotting recurring issues, updating system records carefully, and applying lessons learned to future service work.
- Win as one team by communicating professionally with internal teams, clients, integrators, vendors, tenants, and other partners.
What we look for
Required
- Three or more years of experience in technical system support.
- Experience with video intrusion, alarm, and access control management systems.
- Ability to assess solutions utilizing experience, judgment, and precedents while working under moderate supervision. Capable of swiftly resolving issues or escalating when necessary.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a straightforward manner.
- Excellent organizational, project, and time management capabilities.
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning various software applications and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Preferred
- Professional certification in the security industry (e.g., ASIS Physical Security Professional).
- CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) Training.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, particularly in managing large datasets.
- Experience with systems such as Pacom, Honeywell ProWatch, Bosch RPS, and IBM Tririga for service calls.
- Familiarity with ticketing management systems would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in the normal office suite is a plus.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $71,000 to 117,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
