The opportunity
Downer Energy & Utilities is seeking a highly organised and motivated Outage Zero Harm Administrator to join our team at NSW Muswellbrook Bayswater Power Station. In this role, you will provide critical administrative support to the Zero Harm team, ensuring compliance with safety systems, processes, reporting requirements and workforce mobilisation activities throughout outage projects. Reporting to the Zero Harm Lead, you will play an important role in supporting the administration of the Zero Harm Management Plan, client safety requirements, injury management coordination, PPE distribution, respiratory fit testing, safety inspections and onboarding activities.Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the administration, maintenance and continuous improvement of Zero Harm systems and processes.
- Assisting with safety reporting, KPI monitoring, metrics and compliance activities.
- Coordinating site mobilisation, inductions, PPE issuance and worker onboarding requirements.
- Assisting with incident reporting, investigations and entry of events into the INX system.
- Scheduling and supporting safety inspections and critical risk inspection activities.
- Conducting respiratory protective equipment fit testing as required.
- Supporting injury management processes, including medical appointment coordination and return to work administration.
- Building strong working relationships with operational leaders, employees and stakeholders across the project.
What we’re looking for
To be successful in this role, you will bring:- Previous administrative experience, ideally within construction, utilities, industrial or outage environments.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- The ability to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- A collaborative and team focused approach with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Current Construction Industry White Card.
- Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent.
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
- Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordination training.
- Experience supporting power station outage projects.
