A Day in the Life:

The Director of Government Affairs will strategize, coordinate, and execute public policy objectives on behalf of the company. They will assist with the development and implementation of the government affairs strategies in relation to local, state, and federal legislative bodies and government agencies, to represent and protect the organization’s business plans and interests.

The starting salary for this role is $140,000, commensurate with experience

What You’ll Do:

  • Research, track, and monitor public policy and government activities including bills, proposals, regulatory actions, government grants, rebates, and other incentives that could affect the organization’s business and clients
  • Draft internal analysis and reports regarding policy development impacting the company
  • Draft analyses, statements of corporate positions on incentive programs and policies
  • Assist leadership with strategic planning for known and potential regulatory activities related to the business and industry
  • Support the government, impact, and communications teams on public private partnership initiatives

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in public policy, government affairs, or legislative processes, preferably within mobility, autonomous vehicles, AI, car rental, hospitality, or tourism industries
  • Passion for transportation and the future of mobility, with a strong understanding of mobility-related issues and trends
  • Highly organized, results-driven professional with demonstrated success managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across cross-functional and multi-faceted teams
  • Analytical, strategic, and resourceful thinker, capable of using logic, reasoning, data analysis, and report modeling to solve complex problems and drive decisions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong resource allocation, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage workload and deliver results efficiently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
