About Marktplaats
Marktplaats is one of the Netherlands' leading online marketplaces, helping make commerce more sustainable by giving products an extended life. With over 2.1 million buyers and sellers visiting our platform every day, around 350,000 new listings added daily and users spending an average of 22 minutes per visit, we're building a platform that people use and trust. Every connection we enable helps people save money, earn money and reduce waste. As part of Adevinta, one of Europe's leading online classifieds groups, we're building products that make buying and selling second-hand products simpler, safer and better for everyone.
This role sits within our Product & Technology function in our Amsterdam office, home to over 300 talented professionals, where cross-functional teams design, develop and scale the products that millions of users rely on every day across our Benelux marketplaces, Marktplaats and 2dehands/2ememain.
As AI Integration Lead, you'll be at the technical forefront of Marktplaats's AI ambition. Reporting to the Head of IT, you'll bring the latest AI productivity tools and innovations into the business, translating opportunity into working solutions that help non-technical functions unlock efficiency and value. It's a pragmatic, entrepreneurially minded environment where your work has real impact.
What You Will Do
You won't just advise; you'll drive and execute end-to-end AI solutions across all business functions, with broad scope, real autonomy, and a strong focus on automation, efficiency, and smart scaling. Proactively scouting trends and identifying opportunities.
Who You Are
Bonus Points
This role is based out of our Amsterdam office. While we offer flexibility, we value in-person collaboration and encourage our teams to spend regular time in the office.

- Partner with business stakeholders, primarily Finance, HR, Legal, and Procurement, to understand workflows, identify high-impact use cases, and support AI-driven process redesign.
- Advise on AI tools, standards, governance, and what production-ready looks like across functions.
- Drive end-to-end AI implementations hands-on: from requirements and tool selection through technical build, rollout, and measurement of impact.
- Design and build AI agents that automate multi-step business processes, creating reliable, production-ready workflows.
- Own the Skills architecture: design reusable AI Skills that encode business expertise and make institutional knowledge accessible across functions, with governance covering versioning, quality control, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure solutions are secure, compliant, and scalable; operate the AI Tech Radar for company-wide tool governance and lifecycle management.
- Run two delivery tracks: an Execution Track for production-ready pilots with clear ROI, and an Incubation Track for early experiments with functions at earlier stages of AI maturity.
- Continuously scout new AI technologies and best practices, bringing relevant innovations to the business.
- Create documentation, templates, and enablement materials to support adoption and scaling of AI solutions.
Who You Are

- Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP); solid basic skills in data integration, transformation, and visualisation using tools such as Google Sheets or Coda.
- Able to zoom out to see the strategic opportunity and zoom in to build the solution, without losing sight of either.
- You quickly understand how business processes work by talking to the people who run them, turning that understanding into concrete AI-driven improvements.
- A proactive self-starter who identifies opportunities and drives them to execution; an excellent communicator who bridges business stakeholders and technical teams, with strong documentation and enablement skills for non-technical users.
- Committed to continuous learning; you stay current with AI advancements and champion AI use in your own work.
- Comfortable working independently with Legal, Privacy, and IT to ensure solutions are compliant and secure.
