Senior Software Engineer (C# and .NET-Framework and/or .NET Core/.NET 8+), Pune
Our NIQ Geomarketing technology team is working on our RegioGraph products, a geo-data based platform that helps customers analyse locations, territories, market potential, and business opportunities through advanced geographic and demographic data.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to design and implement the next generation of the RegioGraph Online backend. You will work on geospatial systems, develop sophisticated geo algorithms, and create high-performance data structures capable of rendering and processing large geographic datasets with low latency. You will drive collaborate with all team members, drive architectural decisions, and ensure that our platform remains reliable, maintainable, and performant as it evolves.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend functionality for RegioGraph Online using modern .NET technologies.
- Define and evolve the overall backend architecture, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Develop advanced geospatial algorithms for territory planning, drive-time analysis and routing, market potential calculation, and geographic data processing.
- Design efficient in-memory and persistent data structures for handling large-scale map, customer, and location datasets.
- Optimize algorithms and data access patterns to achieve fast response times and high throughput, capable of rendering and delivering geographic information efficiently.
- Implement dependency injection and modular architectures using frameworks such as Ninject and modern .NET DI concepts.
- Collaborate with service and frontend developers to provide APIs supporting highly responsive map visualizations and analytics features.
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues involving performance, scalability, and data integrity.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, AI-assisted development techniques, and geospatial processing approaches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 6-10 years of testing experience in modern web-application environments
- Hands-on automation experience in frameworks and scripting, in Java with playwright
- Experience validating Angular front-end applications
- Strong fundamentals in test automation best practices
- Experience with API automation frameworks (REST Assured, Postman/Newman, Karate, NBomber, k6, Apache JMeter etc.)
- Experience with UI automation (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Zephyr, etc.)
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins or Azure DevOps)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
