Senior DevOps Engineer

<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p><br></p><p>We are looking for an experienced <strong>Senior</strong> <strong>DevOps Engineer</strong> to design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure on <strong>Google Cloud Platform (GCP)</strong>. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise with <strong>Cloud Run</strong>, <strong>Cloud Monitoring</strong>, and building <strong>CI/CD pipelines for Blazor applications</strong>, along with solid experience managing databases, supporting front-end deployments, and handling DNS/domain configuration. You will work closely with development, QA, and product teams to ensure our applications are reliable, scalable, secure, and observable.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>Cloud Infrastructure (GCP)</p><ul><li>Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications using <strong>Cloud Run</strong></li><li>Architect scalable, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructure on GCP</li><li>Manage IAM roles, service accounts, and permissions following least-privilege principles</li><li>Optimize cloud spend through resource right-sizing and monitoring</li></ul><p>CI/CD & Application Deployment</p><ul><li>Build and maintain <strong>CI/CD pipelines</strong> (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar) for <strong>Blazor (Server/WebAssembly) applications</strong></li><li>Automate build, test, and deployment workflows for .NET/Blazor front-end and back-end services</li><li>Implement blue-green or canary deployment strategies for zero-downtime releases</li><li>Manage environment configurations across dev, staging, and production</li></ul><p>Monitoring & Observability</p><ul><li>Set up and manage <strong>Cloud Monitoring</strong>, Cloud Logging, and alerting policies</li><li>Create dashboards to track application health, latency, error rates, and resource utilization</li><li>Implement proactive alerting and incident response workflows</li><li>Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents and outages</li></ul><p>Database Management</p><ul><li>Manage and maintain cloud databases (Cloud SQL, Firestore, or similar) including backups, scaling, and performance tuning</li><li>Implement database migration strategies and version control for schema changes</li><li>Monitor database performance and optimize queries/indexes as needed</li><li>Ensure data security, encryption, and compliance with backup/retention policies</li></ul><p>Front-End & Networking Support</p><ul><li>Support deployment and hosting of front-end applications (Blazor WASM, static assets, CDN configuration)</li><li>Configure and manage <strong>DNS records</strong>, domain mapping, and SSL/TLS certificates</li><li>Work with load balancers, Cloud CDN, and networking components (VPC, firewall rules)</li><li>Troubleshoot front-end deployment and connectivity issues</li></ul><p>End-to-End Testing & Quality Automation</p><ul><li>Set up, host, and maintain <strong>end-to-end testing frameworks</strong> such as <strong>Playwright</strong> within CI/CD pipelines</li><li>Integrate automated E2E test runs into build/release workflows to gate deployments</li><li>Manage test infrastructure (headless browser environments, test runners, reporting dashboards) in the cloud</li><li>Collaborate with QA/dev teams to ensure test suites run reliably across environments (dev, staging, production)</li><li>Monitor and troubleshoot flaky tests, test execution performance, and reporting pipelines</li></ul><p>Collaboration & Best Practices</p><ul><li>Partner with development teams to embed DevOps practices into the SDLC</li><li>Maintain infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar)</li><li>Document architecture, runbooks, and standard operating procedures</li><li>Participate in on-call rotations and incident management as needed</li></ul><p>Required Skills & Qualifications</p><ul><li>5+ years of experience in a DevOps/Cloud Engineer role, with significant hands-on GCP experience</li><li>Strong working knowledge of <strong>Cloud Run</strong> and container-based deployments (Docker)</li><li>Proven experience configuring <strong>Cloud Monitoring</strong>, Cloud Logging, and alerting</li><li>Experience building <strong>CI/CD pipelines specifically for .NET/Blazor applications</strong></li><li>Experience managing cloud databases (Cloud SQL – PostgreSQL/MySQL, or Firestore)</li><li>Familiarity with front-end deployment workflows and static asset hosting</li><li>Practical experience configuring <strong>DNS</strong>, domain management, and SSL certificates</li><li>Scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, or Python) for automation</li><li>Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)</li><li>Understanding of networking concepts: VPC, load balancing, firewalls, CDN</li><li>Familiarity with Git and version control workflows</li><li>Experience hosting and maintaining <strong>end-to-end testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright)</strong> integrated into CI/CD pipelines</li></ul><p>Nice to Have</p><ul><li>GCP certification (Associate Cloud Engineer / Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer)</li><li>Experience with Kubernetes (GKE)</li><li>Knowledge of security best practices (secret management, vulnerability scanning)</li><li>Exposure to .NET/C# development for better collaboration with dev teams</li><li>Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments</li></ul><p>Soft
