About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Strategic Sourcing Specialist II (Contract/Contract to hire) to join our dynamic team. This critical role will directly support the successful execution of our innovative data center sites, power generation projects, innovation projects, and corporate teams.
As a Sourcing Specialist, you will play a vital role in sourcing and securing the necessary materials, equipment, and services for our field operations. Your expertise in procurement and contract management will be instrumental in ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of critical project components, ultimately contributing to the company's success in mitigating environmental impact and driving the energy transition.
This is a Contract/Contract to Hire role and will be on-site at our Cherry Creek, Denver location (255 Filmore Street Denver, 80206)
What You’ll Be Working On:
Supplier Engagement: Request quotes for major equipment and services from suppliers, ensuring an ethical and timely sourcing process for our projects.
Proposal Evaluation: Prepare bid summaries to evaluate commercial proposals and provide award recommendations.
Supplier Identification: Locate, pre-qualify, or promote potential new suppliers for services or sources of supply.
Administrative Process Management: Assist in managing procurement activities within our systems, including Jira ticket creation, assisting in getting PO’s approved, and communicating changes / approvals within our processes to our Stakeholders.
Supplier Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships with vendors.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders (e.g., Project Managers, Engineers, Legal) and external suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
Project Status Updates: Communicate and manage project progress (spreadsheets / meetings) and any potential challenges to relevant stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience
Experience: 3+ years of experience in direct procurement roles, such as Buyer, Procurement Analyst, Sourcing Specialist. This outlines the minimum years of relevant professional experience required in procurement.
Communication and Urgency Skills: Strong communication skills with experience dealing with all levels of stakeholders. This emphasizes the importance of effective interaction and deal-making abilities.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. This indicates the need for strong critical thinking and decision-making capabilities.
Microsoft Office and Google suite of products Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word. This specifies a required software skill for data analysis and reporting.
Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. This highlights the need for both self-sufficiency and collaborative work styles.
Organizational and Time-Management Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills. This emphasizes the importance of effective planning and prioritization of tasks.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This indicates the need for someone who can handle pressure and changing circumstances.
Bonus Points:
Experience with industry-standard procurement software (e.g., Coupa, Ironclad, Jira).
Experience with procurement processes (P2P).
Compensation Range:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $36.00/hour - $43.00/hour. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
