BGIS Integrated Technical Services is seeking a Lead Mobile Maintenance Technician to support commercial facilities throughout the Washington, DC market. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional looking to take the next step into a leadership role while remaining hands-on in the field.

As a Lead Mobile Maintenance Technician, you'll provide daily guidance and support to a team of technicians while performing preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and facility support services across multiple customer locations. You'll help ensure excellent service delivery, maintain strong client relationships, and support the ongoing operation of critical building systems.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Pay

  • $36 per hour
  • Annual base earnings of approximately $74,880
  • Overtime opportunities available

What You'll Do

Team Leadership & Client Support

  • Provide daily guidance, training, and mentorship to Mobile Maintenance Technicians.
  • Support technicians in completing work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Respond to customer service requests and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of maintenance procedures.
  • Support customer satisfaction initiatives through exceptional service delivery.

Mobile Maintenance & Facility Operations

  • Travel between client locations using a company vehicle to perform maintenance and repair activities.
  • Complete preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspections, and service work across multiple facilities.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and recommend repair or replacement solutions.
  • Support the operation and reliability of facility mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Document work performed and create accurate records within the maintenance management system.
  • Assist with facility improvement projects and special assignments.
  • Monitor equipment and building conditions and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Maintain assigned tools, equipment, and inventory.

Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to all environmental, health, safety, and fire protection requirements.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with corporate policies and client expectations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture throughout the team and at customer sites.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 4 years of facility operations and maintenance experience
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership or team coordination experience.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Comfortable utilizing tablets, smartphones, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) 

Preferred

  • Commercial facilities maintenance experience
  • Trade school education or vocational training
  • Experience supporting mechanical and electrical building systems.
  • Working-at-heights certification or related safety training
  • Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, or maintenance teams.
  • Experience leading maintenance projects or service initiatives.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to respond to emergency service calls outside of normal business hours as needed.
