The primary responsibility of the sales manager is to identify the largest opportunities within a market/ account and match resources to appropriately grow revenue. Understand the customer supply chain, current and future source of revenue, existing and needed backlog. 

The responsibilities include:

  • Develop B2B strategies and take ownership of growing TI's revenue and market share with assigned customers
  • Formulate and execute growth strategies based on customer understanding, in collaboration with FAEs
  • Propose appropriate solutions based on customers' development plans and business requirements
  • Develop annual revenue plans and review/analyze achievement status on a monthly basis
  • Project management and execution, including follow-up from order placement through delivery
  • Quotation preparation, price negotiation, quality management, and creation of various customer documents
  • Maintain and strengthen customer relationships
  • Manage and drive progress toward sales targets
  • Lead a team of Sales and collaborate with diverse teams (e.g. FAE, Field Quality, Customer Operations, Pricing, etc.) to drive revenues 

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Work experience as a Semiconductor IC Sales Representative or Account Manager
  • People management experience
  • Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English
  • Understanding of Japan's local market dynamics
  • Good overall technical understanding of applications on a system and block diagram level
  • Knowledge of Analog and Embedded Processing technologies
  • Solid knowledge of the semiconductor industry and understanding of electronic systems and customer requirements
  • Demonstrated customer successes and frequent customer exchange

Preferred qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience managing direct sales accounts
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
