Role Overview

In line with the enhancement of our Predictive Maintenance and Equipment Reliability strategy, we are looking for a Lubrication & Vibration Analysis Technician.

The resource is going to work 100% on-site in Sarroch (Cagliari - Sardegna). The selected candidate will take direct responsibility for operational lubrication management on production plant machinery while collaborating with diagnostic specialists in acquiring field vibration data.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lubrication & Tribology Management
    • Execution of Lubrication Plans: Perform routine greasing, oil top-ups, fluid replacements, according to defined frequencies and technical specifications.
    • Lubricant Storage & Inventory: Manage lubricant inventory, ensure safe storage and dispensing practices, and prevent cross-contamination.
    • Visual Inspection & Basic Diagnostics: Monitor oil levels, fluid visual condition, check for leaks, and inspect the status of breathers and filtration units.
    • Oil Sampling: Systematically collect oil samples for laboratory tribological and wear particle analysis.
  • Vibration Data Collection & Condition Monitoring
    • Field Data Acquisition: Execute measurement routes across rotating equipment (motors, pumps, gearboxes, fans) using portable vibration analyzers and accelerometers.
    • Data Management & Software Entry: Download, organize, and archive recorded trend data into the predictive maintenance software system.
    • Anomalous Condition Reporting: Detect and immediately report abnormal noise, elevated temperatures, or out-of-spec vibration levels during inspection rounds.
  • Professional Growth & Career Evolution
    • Certified Training Path: Participate in international certification courses (e.g., ISO 18436 for Vibration Analysis, ICML / MLA for Machinery Lubrication).
    • Progression into Diagnostics: Progressively take on vibration spectrum analysis (FFT), dynamic balancing, laser alignment, and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to produce technical diagnostic reports.

 

Requirements

  • Education & Technical Background
    • Technical Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Engineering.
    • Prior experience (1–3 years) in industrial mechanical maintenance, fitting, or equipment assembly is preferred.
    •  Ability to read basic mechanical drawings, assembly schematics, and P&ID diagrams.
    • English:  Intermediate level (B1). Must be capable of reading technical manuals, software interfaces, equipment documentation, and product Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in English.
    • IT Proficiency: Good command of Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and comfort using tablets/PCs for field data logging.

    • Technical Curiosity & Proactivity: Strong drive to learn advanced diagnostic techniques and predictive technologies.

    • Safety Focus & Teamwork: Strict adherence to HSE regulations and positive collaboration with shop-floor maintenance personnel.

 

The below salary ranges apply only to candidates who are located in Italy and employed  under Italian local terms and conditions.
The salary range for this position is €33'500 - €55'900. 
Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other eligibility factors.
