Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Mountain View, CA$175k–$250kPosted Aug 3, 2026

About the role

Own how our AI accelerator systems actually get built. You'll take mechanical designs — chassis, enclosures, sleds, heatsink and cold-plate assemblies — from first prototype through volume production at our contract manufacturing partners, and you'll own everything in between: the DFM feedback that makes a design buildable, the tolerance analysis that makes it repeatable, the fixtures and work instructions that make it fast, and the yield and quality data that prove it. You'll run EVT, DVT, and PVT builds on the floor with our CM and ODM partners, drive corrective action when parts don't fit or processes drift, and work upstream with mechanical, thermal, and packaging so problems get designed out rather than inspected out. When we ramp, you're the reason it holds.

What will you do

  • Own manufacturing engineering for mechanical systems — chassis, enclosures, sleds, heatsink and cold-plate assemblies — from prototype through mass production at our CM and ODM partners.
  • Drive DFM and DFA on mechanical designs, including tolerance stack-up and GD&T, fastener and torque specification, and material and finish selection.
  • Develop assembly processes, work instructions, tooling and fixtures; lead EVT / DVT / PVT builds and drive yield, cycle time, and first-pass yield to target.
  • Own manufacturing quality — FAI, PPAP, process capability and MSA, and 8D failure investigation on the floor.
  • Partner with mechanical design, thermal, and packaging teams to make designs buildable, and with supply chain on supplier and process qualification.
  • Use and develop AI assisted tool flows to accelerate process development, build analysis, and yield debug.

What we're looking for

  • Exceptional abilities in mechanical manufacturing process development for complex electromechanical systems: assembly process design, tooling and fixturing, tolerance analysis, and yield and quality closure
  • 8+ years of NPI or manufacturing engineering experience taking hardware from prototype through volume production, ideally in server, datacenter, or comparable high-reliability systems
  • Hands-on with GD&T and tolerance stack-up, 3D CAD (SolidWorks, NX, or Creo), and mechanical manufacturing processes (CNC machining, sheet metal, die casting, injection molding, extrusion, brazing)
  • Demonstrated ability to run builds at CM and ODM partners, including on-site travel, and to drive corrective action with suppliers
