We are looking for a Hardware R&D Team Leader who embodies ambition and positivity, takes ownership, and collaborates effectively with remote teams to not only meet but exceed our objectives while addressing the evolving needs of our growing customer base.
The hardware development team spans two global sites – one in Tel Aviv and one in Copenhagen. The two teams collaborate seamlessly across projects, fostering open communication, creativity, and commitment. The hardware team is responsible for all hardware at QM, spanning from room-temperature control hardware to our cryogenic QPU carriers.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop the Platform Hardware team, driving execution, technical excellence, collaboration, and the professional growth of nine skilled PCB/layout designers.
- Develop hardware for the company's quantum computing control and packaging systems.
- Develop, test, and bring QM's hardware products into production.
- Lead the technical aspects of hardware development from design through production.
- Promote high standards of hardware producibility through design for manufacturing, testing, and assembly.
Requirements
Key Qualifications
- 5+ years of hardware development experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience leading a hardware development team.
- Experience taking a product from concept to production.
- Experience in digital, analog, and RF electronics design.
- Proven track record in hardware design reviews, testing, and system integration.
- Technical leadership experience in the development of high-end electronic hardware.
- B.Sc. or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
