Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Access Operator in Boynton Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will manage entry points, verify access credentials, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide professional assistance to residents, visitors, and staff. You will document activity, communicate clearly, and support a welcoming, security-related environment. - Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, maintain access logs, and direct authorized individuals according to property procedures.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of residential community common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Communicate professionally with property management and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, observations, and access-control activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least two years of corrections, law enforcement, military experience and/or degree in criminal justice
- Graduate of public safety academy.
- Possess an armed guard card.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
