Key Responsibilities

The Ordinary Seaman is responsible to the Bosun/Supervising Officer for:

·          Performing lookout/helmsman duties on bridge watches·          Carrying out maintenance work and other operational tasks as required·          Assisting in mooring operations as required·          Adopting safe working practices ·          Performing Safety & Security rounds as instructed by the Bosun/Supervising Officer  ·          Responsible to the Deck Officers for maintaining a safe deck watch and ensuring the vessel remains securely moored. ·          Assisting in cargo operations (inc. tank cleaning, sweeping) as required by the Chief Officer and or Officer on Watch·          Undertaking any other tasks, duties as instructed by the Bosun/supervising Officer
