This role plays a critical part in defining next‑generation electrical and controls platforms for wafer fabrication equipment.Job Summary As an Electrical Program Lead Engineer, you will serve as the system‑level technical authority for electrical and controls architecture of wafer fabrication equipment who could handle complex problems. This role owns end‑to‑end electrical, controls, and system engineering responsibility for assigned tool sub‑modules and platforms, defining architecture, interfaces, Theory of Operation, and integration strategy from concept through high‑volume manufacturing and field support.Job Responsibilities Conducts design reviews and ready to own a submoduleProficient in concept design and development of high complex electrical/electronic circuitsOwn & drive NPD programs/high complex CIP/multiple sub-system projects with reliability, cost and/or productivity requirements with appropriate test data.Assesses alternative solutions (circuit, concept, methods etc.) to meet functional and performance requirementsMakes design decisions on major subsystems with knowledge of systems principles & approachManages CFT participation in CIP projects, leads guided brainstorming sessionsOwns quality issues from the subsystems designedDefine cut-in strategy for multiple sub-system changes in collaboration with NPI engineersAbility to own / develop LIGHT group's design BKMs and standardsCapable of driving group level innovation programs/ technical roadmaps / KSA gapsUnderstanding the customer requirements leads the concept development, prepares detailed schematic design, builds the product, and leads the validationEstablish clear electrical–controls–firmware–software interface boundaries and architectural assumptionsAct as system engineer and owner for assigned electrical sub modules, also translate system-level requirements into executableWho we’re looking for Education: B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics EngineeringExperience: Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 8-12 years or Master’s in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 5-8 yearsCore Competencies Expert level in mixed circuit design(analog+digital) with strong experience in circuit analysis & simulation, with good hands-on experience in lab testing & validationStrong experience in end-end control system architecture – defining controllers/IO/network/devices, designing interconnects & system level interfacesProficient in system level understanding of Electro-Mechanical Sub-systems (Semi-conductor/Automotive/Aerospace), Power Distribution/Control systems and/or Industrial Automation.Proficiency in PCB design aspects with strong expertise in signal integrity & power integrity along with CID+ certificationProficiency in working with PLC programming Beckhoff or similar, SCADA & motion control systemsStrong competency in communication protocols - RS485, EtherCAT and Ethernet TCP/IPDesirable Competencies Experience in capital equipment or similar (for e.g., Semiconductor, Process industries, medical instrumentation, Automotive, Aerospace, etc.) industry in a sub-system / module design project.Experience in leading module-level ownership from concept to productionExperience in setting up equipment for experimentation / testing in laboratory environment, setting up safe practices.Familiar with standards like – S22, S2, S8, UL 508, IEC...
