What is the opportunity?
Lead strategic innovation and operational excellence across RBC Insurance's digital assets. As Senior Director, Digital Channels, you'll own end-to-end strategy and delivery across our digital ecosystem, from Online Insurance platforms built on RBC's proprietary tech stack to Advisor Portals powered by Salesforce.
In this pivotal role, you'll serve as the central point of accountability for optimizing digital touchpoints that drive customer engagement and advisor productivity. You'll collaborate seamlessly with Technology, Business, Digital & Data, Operations, and Product teams to execute high-impact initiatives that deliver operational excellence and measurable business results.

What will you do?
Shape the digital vision: Drive the multi-year strategy and roadmap for Online Insurance and Advisor Portal platforms, ensuring every initiative drives organizational priorities forward
Champion client-first digital innovation: Lead a disciplined approach to understanding client needs and translating them into platform capabilities. Drive accountability for user experience metrics and ensure every digital initiative measurably improves client satisfaction and engagement.
Deliver at scale: Lead end-to-end execution of digital channel initiatives across RBC's proprietary tech stack and Salesforce environments, translating strategic vision into executable roadmaps and quarterly milestones
Own financial accountability: Develop, manage, and optimize operational budgets and delivery financial plans to ensure cost-effective, timely execution without compromising quality
Drive accountability through data and transparency: Establish and monitor delivery performance metrics, KPIs, and transparent status reporting that enable informed decision-making
Build lasting partnerships: Serve as the trusted delivery partner to business stakeholders, cultivating strong relationships across Digital Channels, Product, and Business Operations to align priorities and remove obstacles
Translate impact into narrative: Communicate digital platform progress through compelling storytelling that connects technical achievements to measurable business value and customer outcomes
Lead and inspire teams: Provide strategic leadership to developers, engineers, and technical specialists, building a high-performance culture of collaboration. Coach technical leaders on delivery excellence, strategic thinking, and career development
Champion continuous learning: Cultivate a team of technical thought leaders who stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and digital platform best practices, ensuring RBC Insurance maintains competitive advantage and drives innovation across digital channels.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
10+ years of progressive leadership in digital delivery, platform engineering, or technology transformation, with 5+ years leading technical teams delivering enterprise-scale IT solutions
Experience leading AI driven innovation across digital channels, including both implementing AI solutions and championing AI driven development.
Skilled in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities, drive innovation, and optimize delivery outcomes
Deep expertise across technology landscapes. Proficient in both legacy and modern tech stacks (RBC ecosystem and Salesforce), with strong understanding of integration, orchestration, and hybrid technology ecosystems
Demonstrated track record delivering complex digital solutions at enterprise scale within financial institutions or regulated industries
Ability to lead diverse teams and influence senior stakeholders through data-driven decision-making, executive communication, and strong facilitation skills
Strong foundation in software development lifecycle, API management, data flows, budgeting, and resource allocation to drive cost-effective delivery
Nice to Have
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in digital delivery, platform engineering, or technology transformation; 5+ years leading technical teams delivering IT solutions
Proven experience delivering complex digital solutions at enterprise scale within financial institutions or regulated industries
Expertise in both legacy and modern tech stacks (RBC technology ecosystem and Salesforce platforms); Deep understanding of integration, orchestration, and hybrid technology
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders through data-driven decision-making; Superior executive-level communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
