The manager of Starbucks Shop is responsible for the vision, strategy, growth, and performance of Starbucks's direct-to-consumer digital commerce business. This leader owns the evolution of Starbucks Shop as a strategic growth engine, delivering meaningful revenue, deepening customer relationships, and creating differentiated brand experiences that extend beyond retail stores.

This role serves a rapidly growing digital business, bringing together product management, digital merchandising, marketing, customer experience, operations, analytics, and technology to create a best-in-class commerce experience. Specifically, the manager of Starbucks Shop is accountable for defining long-term strategy, driving commercial performance, prioritizing investments, and leading a cross-functional ecosystem that advances both customer and business outcomes.

As a senior leader within Global Digital Commerce, this individual will influence enterprise priorities, champion customer-led innovation, and identify new opportunities to unlock growth through personalization, experimentation, partnerships, and emerging technologies. The role requires a high degree of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and leadership in a complex, matrixed environment.

As a manager, digital product management - Starbucks Shop, you will…

  • Own the vision, strategy, operating plan, investment priorities, and commercial performance of Starbucks Shop.
  • Lead the growth and evolution of Starbucks Shop as an integrated direct-to-consumer business and customer experience.
  • Act as a senior steward of the Starbucks brand, ensuring every digital interaction reflects our standards of quality, craft, and human connection.
  • Maintain a balance between commercial objectives and long-term brand equity.
  • Be accountable for the commercial performance and growth of Starbucks Shop.
  • Initial scope focused on U.S. operations, with responsibility to inform and enable future international expansion.
  • Lead a team of direct and indirect reports across product, commerce, and customer experience disciplines.
  • Influence decisions across multiple executive stakeholder groups.
  • Operate with significant autonomy and decision-making authority.
  • Manage strategic external vendor and platform relationships.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in digital commerce, product management, digital business leadership, or related disciplines
  • Experience owning business performance metrics, including revenue, conversion, customer acquisition, retention, and customer satisfaction
  • Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen, with the ability to connect customer experience decisions to financial outcomes
  • Proficient with the application of quantitative and qualitative data analysis
  • Curious, highly motivated self starter with proven experience leading large cross-functional teams and navigating conversations with senior leaders
  • Experience with customer research design and experiment design and A/B testing
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive influence skills
  • Prefer Bachelors degree in business, marketing, computer science, or engineering; MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing teams in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Prior people management experience preferred
  • Deep understanding of digital commerce ecosystems, including merchandising, personalization, customer journeys, payments, fulfillment, and digital marketing
  • Expert at working in the agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Experience leveraging data and experimentation to drive customer and business value
  • Outstanding communication, storytelling, and presentation abilities
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, drive alignment, and execute effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel <10%

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
