RN Supervisor - Dept. of Surgery Clinics - OMC- NO

This job provides for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Standards for Nursing Practice. Directs and assists licensed and ancillary team members with assigned responsibilities. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team and coordinates delivery of plan of care.

Education

Required - Associates degree

Preferred - Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Work Experience
Required - 5 years related experience including 1 year supervisory or leadership experience

Certifications

Required - Current RN License in the state of practice, CPR certification

Preferred - Certification in clinical area, ACLS, PALS

Job Duties
•  Assures effective and safe delivery of patient care

•  Coordinates clinical operations
•  Maintains required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training and credentials of nursing staff

The physical essential functions of this job include (but are not limited to) the following:  Frequently exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force to move objects; occasionally exerting up to 100 pounds of force.
