International Wire Group, a Pantheon Electric company, is hiring experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanics to join our manufacturing team in Camden, New York.
This is a hands-on opportunity for a dependable and safety-focused maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving mechanical problems, and keeping production running efficiently. You will repair and maintain industrial machinery, support preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and respond to equipment issues with a strong sense of urgency.

WHAT YOU WILL DO!
As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will help maximize equipment reliability, production efficiency, and workplace safety. Your responsibilities will include:
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical malfunctions and determine the appropriate corrective action.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery and equipment.
• Overhaul gearboxes and replace bearings, bushings, and other mechanical components.
• Complete electrical repairs and troubleshooting within your level of training and experience.
• Support the development and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Complete assigned maintenance work accurately, safely, and within established timelines.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns with a strong focus on minimizing downtime and restoring production.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical instructions.
• Determine the correct method and sequence for assembling, repairing, or installing machinery and equipment.
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, preventive maintenance, and daily activities.
• Inspect, clean, and maintain tools and maintenance equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Communicate equipment status, completed work, and outstanding issues to supervisors, coworkers, and incoming shifts.
• Partner with Production and other departments to identify equipment concerns and support operational needs.
• Apply troubleshooting methods and root-cause analysis to help prevent recurring equipment problems.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, OSHA requirements, lockout/tagout practices, and required personal protective equipment guidelines.
• Provide support to coworkers and contribute to a positive, team-oriented maintenance environment.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• At least three years of relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
• Associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, electrical technology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant hands-on manufacturing maintenance experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment and industrial machinery.
• Experience completing electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Working knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.
• Knowledge of root-cause analysis and structured troubleshooting methods.
• Familiarity with 5S, Lean manufacturing, and continuous-improvement practices.
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, including personal protective equipment, energy control, confined-space safety, chemical safety, and fall protection.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize equipment uptime and respond to maintenance needs with an appropriate sense of urgency.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective problem-solving, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to remain focused and work effectively under pressure.
• Proactive, dependable, and team-oriented approach to work.
SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION
• Competitive hourly pay of $29.50–$34.00, based on relevant experience and qualifications.
• Full-time 2nd-shift schedule: 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m.
• Full-time 3rd-shift schedule: 10:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Candidates should be available for periodic emergency callouts during off-shift hours, including some weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.
