You will operate at the intersection of accounting, systems, and automation. Your goal is not just to keep the books clean, but to systematically eliminate manual work and build a finance setup that scales with the business.You will work closely with leadership, external accountants, and operators across the company to turn finance into a real leverage function.What you will doOwn day-to-day preparatory bookkeeping and ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness of all financial dataTake full responsibility for general ledger reconciliations, including accruals, fixed assets, and AR/AP positionsSupport and continuously improve the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process under HGBPrepare internal financial reporting and ensure consistency across all finance outputsAct as the key interface to our external accounting firm and ensure high-quality, timely deliverablesWork closely with internal stakeholders and leadership on accounting, tax, and finance-related topicsIdentify inefficiencies in current processes and actively redesign workflowsDrive automation across accounting processes - from data capture to reconciliation and reportingLeverage AI tools to reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and accelerate closing cyclesThe AI-first finance mandate - Your role is not to scale work , it is to eliminate it.You will:Use AI and modern tooling as your “junior team” to handle repetitive tasksBuild workflows where data flows automatically from source to reportingReduce dependency on manual bookings, reconciliations, and Excel-based processesContinuously question why something is manual and replace it with scalable solutionsHelp define how a lean, high-output finance function operates at scaleThis role offers a unique opportunity to actively shape and build an AI-powered finance function from the ground up.Who you areYou bring solid experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financeYou have completed commercial training or a degree with a focus on accounting or financeIdeally, you hold a certification such as Bilanzbuchhalter or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) or a comparable qualificationYou have strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB)You are highly confident in Excel and comfortable working with structured dataYou are curious about automation and motivated to work with AI tools in your daily workflowsYou are fluent in German and English and communicate clearly across functionsYou work in a structured, reliable way and keep...
