Position Overview:

As the Senior Performance Marketing Manager for Book Fairs you will play a crucial role in driving the redemption and perceived value of Scholastic Dollars through innovative marketing strategies, adoption and growth of the Share The Fair Program, and the scaling and utilization of eWallets by parents and families. This position reflects the expanded strategic scope and cross-functional collaboration required to enhance Book Fair Host perceptions and overall program success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Campaign Development:

    • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive improvements in Revenue Per Fair (RPF), redemption of Scholastic Dollars, participation in Share The Fair, revenue driven through OFE, and growing utilization of eWallets.

    • Utilize growth marketing tactics including digital marketing, email, paid media, on-site promotions, influencers, SMS and more to enhance engagement and drive sales.

    • Strategize, set, and communicate the annual Scholastic Dollars sales and promotional calendar, ensuring alignment with finance team and business goals.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with Product, Digital Services, Business Strategy, Consumer Insights, Creative, Marketing Strategy and Project Management/Operations teams to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives.

    • Build and maintain effective relationships across the SRE organization, internal key stakeholders as well as external vendors to ensure cohesive campaign execution, including support the execution of growth marketing deliverables, and alignment with marketing strategies.

  • Customer-Centric Storytelling:

    • Drive relevance by leveraging influencers, deploying authentic and compelling content and creative, optimized to digital platforms.

    • Identify testing agenda in partnership with Marketing leadership and build meaningful creative tests that will generate insights and learnings to help inform future campaigns.

    • Highlight success stories and testimonials to build credibility and emotional connection with target audiences including teachers, librarians and families.

  • Performance Reporting:

    • Analyze campaign performance data and report insights to executive leadership to inform future marketing strategies.

    • Optimize marketing spend based on performance and success metrics to maximize return on investment.

  • Program Growth & Innovation:

    • Identify opportunities to enhance the appeal and accessibility of the Scholastic Dollars Program, Share the Fair and eWallet through new platforms, channels, strategies and creative executions

    • Support expansion of the marketing program by staying up to date on new developments, changing capabilities, new evolution like AI, and how they can support the business.

    • Experiment with innovative, emerging marketing channels and new tactics to broaden reach and deepen customer loyalty.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7+ years of progressive marketing experience, including growth marketing and digital campaign management.

  • 2-4+ years of experience with people management and team direction

  • Experience with audience definitions, segmentation capabilities and 1P/2P/3P data strategies preferred.

  • Proven expertise in developing and executing multi-channel marketing strategies, campaigns and tactics.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data to drive decisions.

  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on storytelling and relationship building.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience with lifecycle, email and CRM systems and strategies preferred.

  • Knowledge and proficiency in hands-on keyboard execution, including paid media, platform optimizations and budget management preferred.

  • Passion for children's literacy and commitment to Scholastic's mission.

The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $105,000 annually.
