In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Organize, plan and coordinate team activities: set and communicate collective and individual objectives, define and implement strategies, monitor progress, assess and recognize performance, etc.
  • Leading, informing, motivating and supporting teams: team meetings, individual updates...
  • Carry out individual performance reviews and coordinate the conduct of reviews by their teams in the various departments
  • Support employee development: identify/approve skills development plans: training, mentoring, projects/missions, etc. 
  • Define and propose skills requirements, draw up job descriptions for the department and participate in recruitment in collaboration with the HR department.
  • Propose (or coordinate within the department) individual raises during annual salary reviews
  • Participate in (or coordinate within department) disciplinary proceedings 
  • Act in accordance with the Group's values, social legislation and internal rules and procedures, and ensure compliance by his/her team
  • Prepare and deploy the annual development plan within the team
  • Work closely with the continuous improvement Manager
  • Plan, direct and control all activities under his/her responsibility in order to meet safety, quality, profitability and deadline requirements
  • Implement organizational, tool and process changes for continuous improvement
  • Organize communication processes within your team
  • Work closely with GSC team in Europe
  • Link business needs, financial results and Global Supply Chain to coordinate strategies
  • Participate in Sempell’s  strategic committee and provide updates on the department's activities
  • Prepare annual budgets, analyze and interpret operating results against budget and forecasts, investigate and resolve problems.
  • Ensure that the financial targets defined in the POR processes are met, in collaboration with direct line and functional managers.
  • Provide monthly financial forecasts
  • Propose investments to support department/activity activities
  • Contribute to cost reduction initiatives
  • Improve collaboration between departments
  • Plan, direct and control all activities under his/her responsibility in order to meet key requirements in terms of safety, quality, feasibility, delivery time and adherence to deadlines.
  • Implement organizational, tool and process changes to drive continuous improvement
  • Work closely with the design office to improve the processes and products.
  • Define and monitor the Korschenbroich supply chain plan in collaboration with the European Supply Chain Manager.
  • Create and maintain collaboration with the FCV Europe Base organization in order to anticipate market trends and adjust the strategic plan accordingly.
  • Understand order fulfillment performance and customer satisfaction indicators (RDSL / PDSL)
  • Ensure appropriate communication with customers
  • Support the PM team
  • Build strategic relationships with key customers and sales offices

 

Who You Are:

You are a strong communicator with excellent listening, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. You combine analytical thinking, organizational excellence, and sound judgment with the ability to work autonomously and take initiative. You thrive in collaborative environments, handle sensitive matters with discretion, and effectively navigate conflicts and challenging situations. 

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • 5 years' higher education in industrial or mechanical engineering, or equivalent professional experience
  • Steering working groups, setting up subject-specific teams
  • Design and produce monitoring and analysis tools (dashboards, graphs, etc.)
  • Technical industrial culture (knowledge of mechanics, production management)
  • Understanding the different techniques used on the site
  • Advanced knowledge of production management systems (ERP) and related systems (FLM...)
  • German & English: complete professional competence

 

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Good product knowledge
  • Good financial knowledge, particularly in management control
  • Office automation: advanced level: analyze data, create presentation media.
  • Finance: financial knowledge/management control (to establish strategic plans relevant to the balance sheet).
