About BlaBlaCar

Your mission
Our Data department is organised following Data Mesh principles, distributing data ownership to cross-functional and domain-specific teams that manage, own, and serve the data as a product.
The Data Demand team’s mission is to help BlaBlaCar grow as a global OTA through data, covering the full customer journey from brand and product discovery through marketing and landing pages, to search, booking, post-booking, and payment. As the team expands its scope from self-service towards decision intelligence, we want to strengthen our ability to proactively analyse member, marketplace, and product behaviours, and to influence the decisions that shape the product.
As a Data Analyst, you will join the Data Demand team to drive decision-making through data: framing the right questions with stakeholders, going deep into data to explain what is happening, sizing opportunities, interpreting experiments, and translating insights into actionable recommendations for Product and Marketing teams.
Your responsibilities
-
Partner with Product, Marketing, and Business stakeholders to understand their goals, frame analytical questions, and identify the decisions where data can have the highest impact.
-
Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and other Data Analysts to improve the quality, usability, and coverage of our data products, and explore opportunities to turn advanced analytics or ML/AI initiatives into measurable business impact.
-
Lead end-to-end analyses on product and business topics such as marketplace dynamics, search-to-book performance, member behaviour, audience knowledge, or CRM and marketing impact.
-
Go beyond dashboards to investigate the “why” behind trends, anomalies, and performance changes, combining exploratory analysis, statistical reasoning, and strong business context.
-
Build clear narratives from data: communicate findings, trade-offs, confidence levels, and recommendations in a way that helps stakeholders align and act.
-
Contribute to reusable business knowledge and context engineering by documenting insights, analytical frameworks, or business relationships, and play a governance role in aligning definitions, reducing gaps between teams, and improving data quality over time.
-
Leverage BlaBlaCar’s available GenAI tools to work more efficiently in day-to-day analysis and documentation, while applying strong critical thinking to challenge, validate, and contextualise the outputs before using them in decision-making.
Your qualifications
-
Master’s degree or equivalent: engineering school, business school, etc
-
At least 3 years of professional experience working as a Data Analyst
-
Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience analysing large and complex datasets.
-
Good understanding of product analytics, funnel analysis, cohort analysis, segmentation, experimentation, and performance monitoring.
-
Ability to structure ambiguous problems, challenge assumptions, and translate business or product questions into robust analytical approaches.
-
Experience with data visualisation, with a strong sense of how to design clear, trustworthy, and decision-oriented outputs.
-
Solid communication skills: you can turn analysis into a compelling story, adapt your message to different audiences, and influence decisions with clarity and humility.
-
Comfort working with cross-functional teams and building strong stakeholder relationships.
-
Curiosity for product, growth, marketplaces, and member behaviour, with a pragmatic mindset focused on impact over perfect analysis.
-
Python or another analytical programming language, causal inference, or advanced experimentation knowledge is a plus.
-
Fluent in English
