HR Payroll, Operations and Benefits need to work at AIG in a full-time position. The payroll specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining payroll for employees, as well as maintaining employee and salary databases. The ideal candidate may be required to take on a managerial position in the future, as well as manage certain aspects of the overall company budget. A degree is not required, but knowledge of accounting is extremely beneficial. Data-driven and scientific-mindedness will be a plus. It is required that the employee in this position have a comprehensive understanding of tax laws and wage policies for local businesses.

How you will create an impact:

1. Functional Responsibilities

  • Manage end‑to‑end payroll cycles for Mexico and Venezuela.

Mexico:

  • Optimize our use of VenturesSoft system, drive data integration between Workday and VenturesSoft in coordination with People Ops.
  • Lead future payroll system implementation or migrations (e.g., payroll integration VS MX/ into Workday).
  • Maintain and optimize payroll/HRIS integrations for Workday and VenturesSoft in partnership with AIG IT and external vendors (Accenture).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for VenturesSoft and Workday.
  • Maintain audit-ready controls, workflows, and documentation across Mexico.
  • Drive process improvements and automation; track payroll KPIs (e.g. payroll accuracy, on time processing, ticket resolution) for payroll performance measurement.
  • Reconcile the general ledger regarding payroll transactions.
  • Send to VS the information of Mexico’s payment dispersions, incidents, employee registrations, modifications in social security systems, PTO, severance, and terminations.
  • Coordinate with VenturesSoft the electronic payroll stamping (CFDI payroll) and coordinate with PACs/authorized providers to ensure timely stamp and delivery of digital pay slips.
  • Prepare executive reports and KPIs for Mexico, USA and UK.
  • Coordinate internal and external payroll-related audits PWC, E&Y, Natividad, REPSE, SAT, IMSS and INFONAVIT.
  • Ensure confidentiality of information and compliance with corporate policies.
  • Resolve employee payroll inquiries and implement corrective actions.
  • Respond to the Annual Salary Surveys within Willis.
  • Contracts, promotion letters
  • Complete Onboarding process for new hires.
  • Management and movements in Workday and personnel files.
  • Voluntary resignation process and Offboarding.
  • Coverage the Mandatory Training Commissions – DC1 to DC5.
  • NOM035, NOM030 – documentation Sirce

Venezuela:

  • Ensure correct calculation of BEC, PTO, Profit Sharing and STI.

What we are looking for: 

·         Several years of experience in payroll

·         Strong organizational and mathematical skills

·         Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial matters

·         Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets

·         Great attention to detail

·         Excellent mathematical skills

·         Languages: English (Medium-High Level – wrinting and reading)

·         Learning disposition

·         Bachelor´s degree in Finance, Administration, Accounting or simila. Finished degree it is not necessary.

·         Experience: 5 years at least experience necessary.
