How The Alumni Programme Works

BPSS is the UK Government’s mandatory pre-employment screening standard and includes verification of your identity, right to work in the UK, a minimum three-year employment history check, and a basic criminal record check for unspent convictions.

Roles requiring access to classified information may additionally require SC clearance, which involves more detailed vetting of personal, employment, financial, and security-related information, and typically requires at least five years of UK residency to enable meaningful checks.
