Job Description: 

This internship position is a full‑time role for a fixed duration of six months. While the role requires full‑time commitment, the team offers reasonable schedule flexibility to support individual needs, in coordination with the people manager. The program is intended to provide a focused, immersive industry experience aligned with Intel’s professional work environment and expectations.

As Analog Product Development Industry Immersion Intern at Intel, you will join a post-silicon analog validation team to help characterize and qualify analog and mixed-signal IP on real silicon across high-volume manufacturing and design validation platforms.

The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • The role includes executing test plans on production testers and lab benches, running sweeps across different conditions, analyzing measurement data with statistical tools, debugging silicon behavior against expectations, and developing automation tools to streamline data collection and reporting.
  • The intern will own a scoped piece of validation work end to end and contribute to milestone documentation shared with broader engineering audiences.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

  • Enrollment in a bachelor's, licenciatura or  master's degree program in a relevant field, such as Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Scripting languages, with emphasis on Python (C# is a plus).
  • Simulation and/or validation using hardware description languages.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
  • Permanent, unrestricted right to work in Costa Rica.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and contribute in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Passion for innovation and interest in exploring cutting-edge technologies.
  • Coursework, projects, or lab experience in one or more of the following areas: analog and mixed-signal circuit design, phase-locked loops, voltage regulators, reference circuits, thermal sensors, high-speed interfaces, memory interfaces, or clocking.
  • Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, spectrum or network analyzers, source meters, and thermal forcing systems.
  • Exposure to statistical data analysis tools and waveform debug environments.
  • Experience automating data collection, log parsing, or report generation.
