The Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) software department within Raytheon is looking for a Software Scrum Master (SM) for the AN/TPY-2 Arbitrary Agile Release Train (ART). The department’s mission is to provide world class Missile Defense and Surveillance Radar Software to be used in radar systems deployed on land and sea. Our software teams employ an Agile Scrum and DevSecOps processes to rapidly design, code, and integrate capabilities on a continuous basis into a mature solution for our customers.

In addition to being expected to contribute technically to the design, development, integration, qualification, deployment and sustainment of radar applications the successful candidate will be expected to build the team’s abilities, provide technical direction, facilitate the removal of roadblocks and be able to work seamlessly with stakeholders at various levels.
What You Will Do
Coach the Agile Development Team in Agile best practices.
Being a Leader focused on the welfare of the team. Ensure that team members understand, execute, and follow Agile principles, processes, and practices.
Escalate and remove impediments and foster an environment for a high performing team.
Create and coordinate team meetings, sprint planning and reviews, retrospectives and standups.
Verify backlog readiness for planning and execution.
With the Product Owner, manage the cost, schedule and technical performance of a team of software engineers.
Perform requirements development and author design packages.
Design, develop, integrate, deploy and sustain new radar software features for Arbitrary Waveform Generation and Electronic Protection.
Propose/implement pipeline improvements.
Review, track and report team agile metrics.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years’ prior relevant experience prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Experience with software, systems engineering, or system integration and test.
Experience with development frameworks such as Agile Scrum, SAFe and DevSecOps.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with development leadership on complex, large scale systems.
Experience on XBR, AN/TPY-2, COBRA DANE, QEWR, UEWR, SRP, radar data processing or radar signal processing or relevant radar domain knowledge.
Experience as a Product Owner or Scrum Master or related industry certification.
Experience with cost, schedule and technical performance of a software team.
Experience with Git or other Configuration Management Systems.
Experience with DOORS, Jira or other Requirements Tracking Systems.
Experience with Linux or UNIX operating systems.
Experience with MATLAB and/or Systems Tool Kit (STK).
Experience with CORBA, Ada and/or C++.
Experience with Python, Perl and/or Shell Scripting.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Azure, Jenkins, Coverity and/or other DevOps tools.
Experience with real-time, multi-threaded systems.
Experience utilizing AI/ML as part of design and/or development.
Experience with interfacing with customers and leading technical solutions to complex user requirements.
Experience with Software Development in a DoD environment.
Experience with cost estimation and/or developing government technical proposals.
Experience with Earned Value Management principles and metrics.
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.
Experience with excellent communication, technical writing,
oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
