Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and creative User Experience and User Interface (UX/UI) Designer to drive evidence-based product decisions for our Human Capital Management application. Using design thinking methodologies, you will conduct research with HR professionals and employees to validate assumptions and guide feature development. The ideal candidate combines strong research execution skills with design capabilities, working within our Figma environment and contributing to our design systems practice.

 

Core Job Duties

  • Conduct user interviews, usability testing (moderated and unmoderated), and facilitate workshops with HR professionals, managers, and employees to validate assumptions and feature concepts
  • Create research plans and methodologies that align with product development cycles and business objectives
  • Synthesize research findings into actionable insights and translate them into design requirements and wireframes within Figma
  • Collaborate with design systems team to ensure research-validated patterns are documented and scalable across the platform
  • Present findings to stakeholders and work closely with product and engineering teams to implement research-driven decisions
  • Build and maintain research repositories while contributing to our evolving research practice and methodologies

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Remote | U.S.-Based Candidates Only
  • Bachelor's degree in UX Design, HCI, Psychology, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in UX design with demonstrated user research capabilities
  • Proven experience conducting user interviews, usability testing, and workshop facilitation
  • Strong portfolio showcasing both design work and research methodologies
  • Proficiency in Figma and experience working with design systems
  • Experience researching enterprise software users (HR professionals, managers, employees preferred)
  • Knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Ability to synthesize complex research findings into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Strong presentation and communication skills for stakeholder engagement
  • Experience working in agile development environments
  • Understanding of web-based application design principles and constraints

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HCM, HR tech, or enterprise SaaS products
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted design workflows and prompt engineering for research
  • Experience with unmoderated testing tools and research platforms
  • Knowledge of accessibility principles and inclusive design practices
  • Background in statistical analysis or quantitative research methods
  • Experience building and scaling research practices within product teams
  • Understanding of modern frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics)
