SAP Logistics Project Leader - Data and Analytics

Job Description:

Are you passionate about IT, experienced in software development techniques, operations management and passionate about data and to extract the insights from data to improve supply chain processes and convinced by the business added value of digitalization in the ERP Logistics domain

We are organized in Product and Service Lines (PSL) that have End-to-End (E2E) accountability and responsibility for their IT solutions. Within the PSL “ERP CoE Logistics & Planning” you will join the Sub product team “Data and Analytics for Logistics” responsible for the IT solutions and associated processes across all AIRBUS sites. You will be based out of Bangalore Location.

Serving as a vital catalyst for the digitalization of the Airbus supply chain, you shall collaborate with business partners at the highest levels of the organization to drive collective progress. By joining the Analytics and Data Product Team within the ERP CoE Logistics and Planning PSL, you will become a central part of our industrial vision.

Working alongside our logistics business functions, we deliver advanced digital applications that ensure robust and standardized operational excellence. In your capacity as Project Manager, you will steer multi-functional teams through the design and deployment of innovative analytical solutions, utilizing the SAP technologies (such as EWM,WM, SAP PP, Native HANA, SAB ABAP and UI5) and modern data frameworks i.e. Skywise. You will engage with architects, Development Team, Business Team, Vendors and transnational stakeholders across our global network to ensure the delivery of high-business-value insights.

Our analytic solutions (based on SAP HANA, Palantir/Skywise, UI5, AWS NOP…) enable Airbus Logistics to have instant visibility on all flows from suppliers to point of use, consolidating data from our backbones: SAP, SAP EWM, AWS, S/4HANA, Warehouse Automation, Internet of Things.

Qualification & Experience:

• Graduate with 8+ years of experience in SAP Implementation. ( Covering either of these Technologies EWM, WM, PP, ABAP, Native HANA)

• Since Analytics Product is defined for Logistics and Planning Business Functional Skills would be Preferred. EWM / PP Experience would be an added advantage with a minimum of 1 Implementation Project.

• Minimum Experience of 2 Years in Project Lead covering Solutions SAP EWM/WM/PP.

• Good Knowledge on Data Modelling Techniques i.e. HANA Objects Data, visualization (SAC , Qlik…). Understanding of other Products/Tools on Analytics or Data products (e.g. Skywise, Pyspark, Python, Ontology, Foundry) would be an added advantage.

• Requires expertise in various areas, e.g.:  data compliance and export control, Security, Sustainable IT and architecture standards.

• Basic knowledge of the SAP  tech stack used in standalone applications/services.

• Knowledge of budget acquisition. 

• Managing requirements and understanding the business processes. 

• Understanding the data produced and consumed by the app. 

• Basic knowledge of IT & Business Strategy 

• PMP Certification would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Solution Design Alignment: Ensure overall solution implementation adheres strictly to SAP best practices, development guidelines, and Airbus "Golden Rules". Oversee how data is structured, integrated, and consumed within analytics layers to align with Airbus Information Technology strategy and governance standards.

• Project Charter: Defines the roadmap of deliveries, the associated resources, as well as monitor the overall budget. Organises the various projects activities so as to deliver on the roadmap agreed with Business and Process & Methods. Define MIlestones as per DIfferent Quality Gates.

• Prepare Steering committee and represent Digital team

• Team Governance: Direct the end-to-end lifecycle of delivery, assigning ownership, assessing delivery risks, and managing change control. 

  • Serves as liaison between Product Management teams and development resources during product development and implementation to ensure integrity of the solution delivered.

  • Lead a team of developers and business analysts, fostering an agile mind-set, collaborative way of working, and continuous skill development.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Closely interface with business units and external international customers to thoroughly contextualize challenges into functional requirements. Manage Conflicts and Negotiation to achieve optimized results for the business.

• Code & Architecture Safeguarding: Collaborate with security and technology specialists to audit source code and validate performance-tuning configurations. Defines and develops the required functional and/or technical specification documents to be reviewed with stakeholders and product team members, with the help of sub-contracting or internal resources.

• Co-ordination & Collaboration:

  • Be responsible for the follow-up, the solution & MiP

  • Act as an escalation point for technical roadblocks, providing expert guidance during critical incident investigations and deep root-cause analyses.

• Risk Management - Manage risks, dependencies and resolve impediments

• Operational Maintenance: Oversee cutover management tasks, production deployment schedules, and automated data monitoring solutions.

• Agile/Waterfall -

  • Prepare for PI Planning and ensure the vision, roadmap and programme backlogs are ready for your team

  • Help teams with feature estimation and the aggregation of estimates for larger pieces of work such as capabilities and epics. Ensure testing of solution 

• Subcontractor Management - Be responsible to provide the adequate resources to develop business requirements.
