What you’ll do: 

 

In our Transformation Assurance team, your impact will lead and manage project assurance and advisory engagements across a diverse portfolio of transformation projects, programs and portfolios using strong project management and risk expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes.  

This includes:   

  • Reviewing and analysing critical project/program artefacts (including risk reports, business cases, business requirements documents, or project plans) . 

  • Identifying key risks to success of projects/programs.   

  • Leading client engagements, including fieldwork interviews and final presentations of key findings to senior executives and board members.   

  • Overseeing the delivery of formal reports, including detailed analysis and recommended solutions.   

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as their trusted advisor during transformation activities and ensuring that quality assurance advice aligns with their strategic objectives.   

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop proposals and find innovative solutions that bring different parts of the PwC firm together to solve important problems for our clients.   

  • Mentoring and coaching junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development, with a focus on enhancing project management capabilities.   

  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to deliver cutting-edge insights to our clients.  

 

What we’re looking for:   

 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, with a strong background in project management and financial services looking to apply their skills in an advisory capacity. You will join our fast-growing team, known for its great culture, and lead our efforts in guiding clients through leading transformation initiatives across Australia. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality assurance advice and recommendations that drive successful change outcomes.  

You’ll help solve complex problems by using your skills/experience in:   

  • Delivering complex strategic transformation programs within the Financial Services industry (desired)  in project/program management roles or related disciplines (including change management, business analyst, or benefits/finance management). 

  • Proactively identifying project risks and finding appropriate solutions. You have an advanced understanding of project management methodologies, and feel comfortable leading project, program and portfolio reviews.  

  • Business development – building and maintaining relationships across the industry and experience preparing proposals.  

  • Leading teams and project managing a full range of activities including the planning, testing, reviewing and reporting stages on large and complex client engagements.   

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.   

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with clients and team members.  You have experience working with senior stakeholders (e.g. Executives). 

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.   

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Agile, Prosci Change Management) are an advantage.   

Desirable skills 

  • Specific experience in Financial Services/Banking or major ERP programs is desired.  

  • Consulting experience is desired.
