Manager: Embedded Electronics & PCBA Design CoE
What you’ll do:
This position entails leading a dynamic team of approximately 8-12 skilled individuals, Dedicated to design and develop artwork for Printed Circuit Boards to meet customer specific technical, cost and market related technology. The incumbent will guide, coach, and mentor team members to make them future ready. Nurture continuous learning environment, consistently developing and enhancing the team's technical proficiencies to deliver top-notch products that align with both current and future business requirements. The team will be tightly linked with various key growth programs, RCAs and VA activities from ES sector business. The incumbent is supposed to partner with EIIC & global stakeholders to drive project success and achieve strategic objectives for the business and PCB Technologies..
"A. People Responsibilities: • Lead team of ~8-12 talented individuals and provide leadership to guide, coach and mentor to develop future ready talents • Retain employees in the team by career guidance and people development • Develop short term and long term goals for the team. Develop the team in future growth areas such as digitalization, electrification & additive manufacturing
B. Stakeholder Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain relationships with EIIC & global ES stakeholders. • Meet ESA stakeholder expectations on R / D / E portfolio by assigning right resources on projects. Maintain strong partnership to ensure analysis first deployment • Create culture of continuous improvement to bring in value add in terms of cost, quality and schedule.
C. Technology Responsibilities: • Continuously develop and enhance the technical capabilities of the team to provide best in class products in line with present and future business needs • Understand Key technology gaps in various business product portfolio in PCB advance technologies domain and work with stakeholders on developing its maturity. • Provide leadership to constantly update and mature technologies in line with Team roadmap and product strategies.
D. Organizational Responsibilities: • Constantly strive towards percolating team expertise in to new sites / businesses to get more meaningful engagements • Contribute in organizational/team level initiatives to add value by leading initiatives effectively. • Effective collaboration with rest of the technologies in Enterprises CoE to create seamless execution. • Drive strong Innovation rigor in team to generate IPs (Patent,TS,Paper) and meet Team level BSC metrics.
E. Individual Contributor Responsibilities: • Collaborates with technology and product teams to define problem statements related to Ananlysis domain • Understands project requirements and solve problems independently in discussion with local as well as global stakeholders • Deploys developed SI & PI simulation methodologies in Eaton products to strengthen “Analysis First” strategy • Demonstrate innovative thinking and add personal value to each activity, explore opportunities for proposing novel ideas in technology and products"
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics / Electronics and Communication / Electrical Engineering. "• 12+ years of design experience with PCB design and development. • Min 1+ years of experience as managing the People."

"Required: • Manages diverse PCB Design portfolio from multiple locations. Provides leadership for the team to meet its short and long-term goals. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including CI methodology, Agile/ProLaunch practices, and DfX deployment • Drive growth in respective team in terms of breadth and depth of capabilities in PCB Design & Simulation as well as adjacent technology areas in product engineering • Manage and develop people: identify, attract and develop key engineering talent for the organization. • Very strong high speed and multilayer layout skills including multi-layer stack up design, differential pair, impedance control, matched delay, etc. • Sound knowledge of electrical & electronic components – Surface Mount & through Hole. • Sound knowledge in the board fabrication, Assembly and testing process. • Very good knowledge of IPC Standards like IPC2221A, IPC-SM-782 and IPC 7351, UL and MIL standards. • Hands-on experience in creation and validation of footprints, PCB library management, Prepare schematics and performs layout design. Desired: • Awareness of CIS / CIP database, thermal management, Enclosure designs. Special: • CAM validation, check and basic editing of Gerber data using CAM350. • Good knowledge of PCB design guidelines for EMI / EMC aspects, some exposure on hardware testing • Hands on experience with high speed board designs, Signal Integrity & Power Integrity analysis using Ansys or equivalent tool. • Automotive & Aerospace domain knowledge for High power Layout designs."
