Position Summary: As People Lead, Channel & Contract Management (Costa Rica), you provide robust leadership, administration, and guidance to the CCM team, ensuring operational excellence, strategic alignment, and team development, while occasionally executing daily deliverables and serving as a key RSS leader supporting Genentech (US) across Medicaid Rebate Processing, Contract Strategy Implementation, Managed Care Contracts, and Government Programs by bridging Costa Rica operations with US business partners, inspiring agile collaboration, and end‑to‑end accountability.
The Opportunity:
Lead and manage the CCM team (currently ~17 people), overseeing performance metrics and compliance by tracking KPIs (e.g., turnaround times, recall rates), proactively addressing performance gaps, ensuring adherence to functional training, risk management, and local compliance policies, and driving sustainable, scalable process improvements.
Handle team administration and infrastructure: schedule and lead local meetings for cross-team alignment; coordinate workflow coverage (incl. leave/vacation planning); and manage local infrastructure needs such as hardware and Roche systems access.
Own talent development and performance management across the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to ongoing development: oversee evaluations and conflict resolution, shape the local RSS workforce strategy to meet evolving business demands, and continuously improve training initiatives to build long-term organizational readiness.
Foster culture and team engagement by organizing initiatives that promote cohesion, morale, and inclusion; gather and act on feedback; tailor impactful local activities; and ensure alignment with Genentech’s way of working and the local organization.
Provide hands-on operational support for CCM services when needed (e.g., vacancies or peak workloads) across Medicaid Rebate Processing, Contract Strategy Implementation, Managed Care Contracts, Government Pricing activities, and related federal compliance tasks, collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure accurate execution and continuous improvement.
Who you are:
Proven leader with 2+ years in people leadership and 5+ years in operations, focused on team empowerment, mentoring, and performance management, while remaining willing to step in for hands-on task execution and local administrative/infrastructure coordination.
Bachelor’s degree (Business, Finance, Life Sciences, etc.; Master’s preferred) and experience in Channel & Contract Management operations (e.g., Medicaid, Government Programs, CLM systems), shared services, or related domains.
Strong people capabilities: collaboration and teaming, proactive accountability, growth mindset, stakeholder management, and complex problem solving, with an innovative, problem‑solving mindset oriented to sustainable, scalable solutions and end‑to‑end accountability (big‑picture impact and engaging others to ensure successful outcomes).
Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate complex, multicultural, highly matrixed environments, effectively bridging local Costa Rica operations with US partners and other global stakeholders.
Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken), enabling clear leadership communication, stakeholder alignment, and effective cross‑border collaboration.
Please note: Resumes must be submitted in English, as our interview panel may include participants from outside your local country.
