Job Description

As a Custom Protection Officer Unarmed Site Patrol in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms and access control needs, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a food and beverage manufacturing location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor, delivery, and incident documentation.
  • Support facility operations by observing compliance with site access procedures and reporting maintenance, access control, or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
    • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
    • Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
    • A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
    • Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
  • Have access control or badge experience, preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
