HOST/ESS 

Located within the exclusive Hualālai Club, the Residents' Beach House Restaurant is a private oceanfront dining destination reserved for Hualālai Club members, residents, and their guests. Offering a relaxed yet refined beachfront experience, the Beach House is known for personalized service, exceptional cuisine, and meaningful connections with its membership community. 

 

As a Host/ess, you will serve as the first impression of the Residents' Beach House, warmly welcoming members and guests while creating a seamless and personalized arrival experience. You will manage reservations and seating arrangements, build relationships with residents, anticipate guest preferences, and partner closely with the restaurant team to deliver the exceptional service and sense of belonging that define the Hualālai Club experience. Your ability to create genuine connections and provide thoughtful, attentive service will play an important role in fostering memorable dining experiences for our members and their guests. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

• Welcome residents and guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. 

• Manage reservations, seating assignments, and waitlists to maximize guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. 

• Escort guests to their tables and provide information about the restaurant and dining experience. 

• Monitor table availability and communicate effectively with restaurant managers and service staff. 

• Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns promptly and professionally. 

• Maintain an accurate understanding of restaurant menus, hours of operation, and special events. 

• Answer telephone calls and respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and timely manner. 

• Ensure the host stand, entrance, and waiting areas are clean, organized, and presentation-ready. 

• Recognize resident preferences and help create personalized experiences whenever possible. 

• Collaborate with restaurant and resort teams to deliver exceptional service and memorable dining experiences. 

WHAT TO BRING 

• Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card when working in food and beveragePrevious host, hostess, restaurant, food & beverage, or luxury hospitality experience preferred. 

• Exceptional communication and guest service skills. 

• Professional, polished, and welcoming demeanor. 

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. 

• Comfortable using reservation and seating management systems. 

• Ability to remain calm and professional while managing high guest volumes. 

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence. 

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 

• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

• Passion for hospitality and creating personalized guest experiences.
