Role Overview

We are looking for experienced CNC and CAM manufacturing professionals with strong hands-on knowledge of Fusion 360, machining workflows, and digital fabrication. The role focuses on reviewing manufacturing processes, evaluating AI-generated recommendations, and developing clear evaluation criteria for technical accuracy and process quality. No previous AI experience is required.

CONTRACT: Short-term contractor assignment, paid per approved task

COMMITMENT: Flexible, subject to minimum weekly task submissions

LOCATIONS: Remote, GLOBAL

PROCESS: 30-minute AI interview → Hiring Manager review

HOURLY RATE: $50 - $100/h

Responsibilities

  • Review manufacturing workflows with a focus on CAM, CNC machining, and digital fabrication.
  • Evaluate AI-generated manufacturing instructions, recommendations, and technical content.
  • Identify inaccurate machining strategies, process errors, or inefficient manufacturing approaches.
  • Assess toolpaths, machining sequences, setup considerations, and production workflows.
  • Apply Fusion 360 manufacturing workflows when reviewing technical scenarios.
  • Develop and validate detailed rubrics for evaluating manufacturing-process quality.
  • Define criteria for technical accuracy, feasibility, efficiency, and completeness.
  • Provide clear, structured, and technically grounded feedback.
  • Contribute practical manufacturing expertise to improve AI evaluation datasets.

Requirements

  • Professional hands-on experience with CNC machining and CAM workflows.
  • Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Fusion 360, particularly its Manufacturing/CAM functionality.
  • Experience developing, reviewing, or optimizing CNC machining processes.
  • Strong understanding of toolpaths, machining operations, tooling, feeds and speeds, and workholding.
  • Experience with digital manufacturing or computer-aided manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to evaluate technical manufacturing instructions for accuracy and feasibility.
  • Strong written English communication skills.
  • Availability to start shortly after successful onboarding.
