As a Strategic Account Manager for our Genie brand in The Netherlands, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and growing relationships with strategically important customers across the Benelux and Eastern Europe region. In this customer-facing role, you will develop strategic account plans, identify growth opportunities, and build long-term partnerships that drive customer success and business growth.
What you’ll do
- Support the Sales Director in managing key and strategic accounts while developing towards independent account ownership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key and strategic accounts across Europe, acting as a trusted partner at both operational and senior management levels.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Sales, Service, Parts, Operations, Finance and Product Management to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans, business reviews and growth initiatives that support customer success and business objectives.
- Monitor account performance with KPI’s, identify growth opportunities and lead the resolution of customer issues, risks and improvement initiatives.
- Support dealer planning, forecasting and commercial account management activities to ensure effective alignment between customer demand, fleet availability and commercial objectives.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commercial Economics, Sales, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Fluent in English and Dutch (written and spoken).
- Experience in B2B key account or strategic account management
- Experience working with large international customers, ideally within equipment, machinery, rental, fleet or industrial markets.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive results within a matrix organization, without direct authority.
- Commercially sharp, data-driven and highly structured, with the ability to translate customer needs into measurable business outcomes.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at different levels within customer organizations.
- Ambition and capability to grow into full account leadership.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel throughout assigned territories as required, including occasional periods of extended travel. A valid driving license (car) is necessary.
