About the role:

The Radiation Engineering & Analysis (REA) Manager leads and develops a multinational team of engineers responsible for radiation analysis, radiation engineering, and radiation protection support. Our market is global with customers in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas, covering the operating fleet, decommissioning, and new build. The manager will directly manage and develop the REA engineering staff, promoting technical growth, engagement, and accountability by the following:

 

  • Monitor workload demand and planning project execution
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and formal performance evaluations
  • Support career development through training plans, stretch assignments, and succession planning
  • Build a collaborative team culture that emphasizes technical carefulness, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing
  • Manage hiring, onboarding, and retention of technical talent

 

The Radiation Engineering & Analysis Manager will report to the Director of Radiation, Waste Management and Decommissioning. You will work in a hybrid capacity.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach a team of engineers, including performance management, career development, and hiring
  • Manage work planning, prioritization, and resource management
  • Ensure, high-quality delivery of engineering work products according to internal quality processes and industry standards
  • Facilitate collaboration across a geographically dispersed team with engineers in multiple US locations, Spain, and Germany.
  • Promote continuous improvement, collaboration, and a safe and quality culture

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering or related discipline
  • We typically prefer a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible engineering and/or leadership experience.
  • Experience as a people manager or team lead, with responsibility for performance management and staff development
  • Excellent team building skills with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. We estimate the base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, to be 130,400 to 163,000 per year.
