Role Overview

The Planning and Shipping Leader is responsible for coordinating daily shipment readiness, shipment execution, and delivery follow-up across production, planning, warehouse, quality, and transportation teams. This role helps keep material flowing, documents accurate, and shipment commitments on track.

What will you do?

  • Coordinate daily shipment planning and execution for finished goods and other outbound materials.

  • Verify material availability, shipment priorities, and ship dates before dispatch.

  • Supervise loading activities and ensure materials are handled safely and correctly.

  • Register and track deliveries in SAP or another ERP system.

  • Prepare, verify, and distribute shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, and BOL.

  • Monitor carrier performance, delivery routes, and shipment status through final delivery.

  • Report shortages, damage, deviations, and delivery delays to the relevant teams.

  • Work closely with warehouse, production, quality, and transportation partners to support on-time delivery.

  • Own shipment readiness with safety, accuracy, and integrity at the center of every decision.

  • Stay close to the dock, warehouse, planning, and production teams so you can remove obstacles before they affect the schedule.

  • Use clear daily follow-up, fact-based reporting, and disciplined follow-through to improve performance and solve issues quickly.

  • Work as one team with internal partners and carriers, building trust and respecting different perspectives to keep materials moving.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in shipping, logistics, or production planning within a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.

  • Working knowledge of SAP or another ERP system for shipment registration and tracking.

  • Experience preparing or verifying shipping documentation such as invoices, packing lists, and BOL.

  • Strong coordination skills with production, planning, warehouse, quality, and transportation teams.

  • Strong MS Excel, reporting, and data accuracy skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and respond quickly to shipping exceptions.

  • Attention to detail, organization, and a strong safety mindset.
