Job Description
The role has broad responsibility across the corporate insurance and risk management function, supporting the business on both day to day operational matters and more complex strategic initiatives. Key elements of the role include:
- Complex contract reviews, procurement and client matters
Reviewing and advising on complex contractual arrangements to identify and mitigate insurance and risk exposure, including procurement contracts and client agreements. This involves working closely with Legal, Procurement and the business to ensure appropriate risk transfer, insurance provisions and alignment with our risk standards. - Claims management across all lines, including bordereau reporting
Managing claims activity across all insurance lines, from notification through to resolution, liaising with brokers, insurers and internal stakeholders on our legal and litigation teams. This includes oversight of claims data, trend analysis and bordereau reporting to support governance, financial accuracy and management reporting. - Advising the business on coverage queries
Acting as a key point of contact for the business on insurance coverage interpretation, policy intent and response, providing practical, commercial advice on how policies apply to specific scenarios, projects or incidents. - Policy placement, renewal negotiation and insurer submissions (all lines)
Assisting with and coordinating policy placements and annual renewals across all insurance lines, including preparation of submissions, engagement with brokers, negotiation with carriers and evaluation of coverage terms, limits and pricing. - Policy administration across all lines
Ensuring effective ongoing administration of the insurance programme, including policy documentation, endorsements, certificates of insurance, regulatory and internal compliance requirements, and maintenance of accurate insurance records. - Captive knowledge advantageous
Experience or familiarity with captive insurance structures is advantageous, including understanding of captive utilisation, fronting arrangements, reporting and governance, and how captives support overall risk financing strategy. - Strategic advice to the business
Providing forward‑looking, strategic risk and insurance advice to senior stakeholders on initiatives such as new service offerings, emerging risk trends, changes in operating model and M&A activity, ensuring insurance considerations are built in early and support commercial decision making.
