We are seeking a Project Engineer II to lead the engineering support team for a high-visibility airborne command and control program’s aircraft modification and testing activities. This role requires expertise in managing multidisciplinary engineering projects, particularly those involving system integration, instrumentation design, and ground/flight test support. You will be responsible for coordinating technical efforts, ensuring on-time delivery of engineering solutions, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.Responsibilities:Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers supporting aircraft instrumentation and test activities, including ground and flight test operations.Oversee the design and integration of instrumentation systems for test aircraft, ensuring compliance with program requirements and industry standards.Develop, review, and approve engineering documentation, including special instructions, test procedures, and modification drawings.Coordinate across internal teams (systems, hardware, software, test, and manufacturing engineering) to support the execution of project milestones.Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for test activities, collaborating closely with program management, customers, and external stakeholders.Track project progress, resolve technical issues, and manage risk throughout the engineering lifecycle.Ensure all engineering work aligns with safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.Support configuration management and change control processes for all test-related deliverables.Participate in technical reviews, design reviews, and readiness assessments for ground and flight test phases.Provide technical input for resource planning, schedule development, and cost estimation.Qualifications You Must Have:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.10+ years' experience in engineering roles with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.5+ years of relevant experience in aerospace, defense, or a similar high-reliability engineering environment.Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practice.Experience...
