This is primarily a home daily position operating Class B straight trucks, vacuum trucks, roll-offs, and box trucks, with some overnight travel required during winter months.Primary ResponsibilitiesOperate CDL Class B vehicles including straight trucks, vacuum trucks, roll-offs, and box trucks in a safe and efficient mannerTransport non-hazardous materials within local routes across Buffalo and surrounding areasOperate vacuum and related equipment to load, unload, and transfer materials as requiredPerform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and complianceAdditional ResponsibilitiesComplete all required paperwork including logs, delivery tickets, inspection reports, and other documentationEnsure proper handling and securement of materials during transportMaintain clear communication with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding route updates and delivery statusFollow all company safety procedures and DOT regulations at all timesSupport general operational needs and assist with additional duties as assignedRequired QualificationsCDL Class B license requiredTanker endorsement requiredMinimum of 2 years of commercial driving experienceMust be 21 years of age or olderAbility to operate manual transmission vehiclesAcceptable driving recordPreferred QualificationsExperience operating vacuum trucks or roll-off equipmentBackground in waste, environmental services, or similar industriesStrong safety mindset and ability to work independentlyPhysical DemandsAbility to sit, stand, walk, and climb for extended periodsAbility to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbsAbility to perform physical tasks including loading, unloading, and equipment handlingAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditionsSchedule & Work EnvironmentTypical schedule is 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential for longer days as neededPrimarily Monday to Friday with no regular weekend requirementHome daily with the exception of winter months (October through March), when up to 2 overnight stays per week may be requiredRoutes are local, typically 100 to 200 miles per day, based out of Niagara Falls, NYBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision coverageHealth savings and flexible spending account optionsRetirement savings planPaid time off and company holidaysEmployee assistance programsCompany‑provided safety training and development opportunitiesIn addition to salary, this role is eligible for benefits.
