Clinic Certified Medical Assistant Facility Harlingen Rio Grande Medical Group Location US-TX-Harlingen ID 2026-270631 Category Aide Position Type Full Time Shift Days Job Type Non-Exempt Overview We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant, also referred to as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). Certified Medical Assistants will support both clinical and administrative tasks, such as taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, updating patient records, and coordinating appointments in our orthopedic clinic. We do offer programs to help you get your Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Greet and prepare patients for orthopedic examinations and proceduresRecord patient history, vital signs, and orthopedic-specific informationInstruct patients on pre-operative (pre-op) and post-operative (post-op) care and medication regimensHelp in orthopedic procedures, including bandaging, splinting, and wound careFacilitate diagnostic tests, imaging tests (e.g., X-rays, MRIs) and ensure accurate documentation of resultsPrepare and maintain examination rooms, including sterilization and inventory management of medical supplies and equipmentSchedule patient appointments, manage charts, and update (Electronic Medical Records) EHR systems with patient information Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
