Job Description:

The Opportunity

We are looking for Project Technical Engineering Experienced Professionals to join our growing HVDC System Performance team and help establish our new engineering presence in Spain.

In this role, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and validation of advanced HVDC transmission systems, working alongside experienced engineers on some of the world's most complex power system projects. You will participate throughout the project lifecycle—from technical studies during the tender phase to simulation, testing, and commissioning—while collaborating with international teams across Sweden, the UK, and Canada.

This is an exciting opportunity to build your expertise in HVDC technology, receive training from global specialists, and contribute directly to the integration of renewable energy into power grids worldwide.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Perform power system studies and simulations to support the design and validation of HVDC transmission systems.
  • Contribute to technical activities during both tender and project execution phases, ensuring customer requirements are translated into robust engineering solutions.
  • Develop and optimise control models using industry-standard simulation tools while analysing system performance under different operating conditions.
  • Support Factory System Tests in Sweden and occasionally participate in commissioning activities at customer sites worldwide.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and international specialists to deliver safe, reliable, and high-quality technical solutions.
  • Build your technical expertise through continuous learning while contributing to the growth of a new engineering team in Spain.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Engineering Physics or a related discipline.
  • Experience in power systems, electrical engineering, control systems or similar technical environments.
  • Knowledge of simulation tools such as PSCAD, PSSE, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, Matlab, ETAP or similar would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve technical problems in a structured and methodical way.
  • Fluent English is required; Spanish is highly valued and Swedish would be an advantage.
  • Self-driven, curious and collaborative mindset, with excellent communication skills and willingness to learn within an international engineering environment.
