Role Overview

As a Video Annotator, you will watch video clips and create clear, structured descriptions of what is visible on screen. Similar to how a continuity supervisor observes and records details during film production, you will pay close attention to people, objects, actions, settings, camera changes, and the sequence of events. The role does not require professional filmmaking experience. Its primary focus is accurately describing what you see, following defined guidelines, and maintaining consistency across annotations.

Key Responsibilities

• Watch and carefully analyze video clips


• Write clear and accurate descriptions of visible content


• Identify people, objects, actions, locations, and relevant visual details


• Describe how actions and scenes develop over time


• Track changes between shots, including movements, object positions, settings, and character appearance


• Identify shot transitions and notable camera changes when required


• Distinguish between what is directly visible and what cannot be confirmed from the video


• Apply structured labels based on provided guidelines and criteria


• Maintain high levels of accuracy, consistency, and detail


• Meet weekly output targets and deadlines


• Apply feedback to continuously improve annotation quality


• Flag unclear, incomplete, or problematic content when necessary


• Stay up to date with annotation guidelines and process changes

• Clear, objective, and grammatically correct descriptions


• Consistent delivery of the assigned annotation volume each week


• High accuracy and adherence to annotation guidelines


• Reliable turnaround times


• Strong attention to visual continuity and changes between shots


• Ability to maintain quality while working at scale

• Strong visual observation and attention to detail


• Ability to describe visible content clearly and objectively


• Good written English


• Ability to identify and follow sequences of actions

• Ability to watch and review video content for extended periods

• Background or interest in film, television, video production, photography, or visual media


• Familiarity with basic filmmaking concepts such as shots, scenes, framing, and continuity


• Experience with data annotation, content moderation, tagging, transcription, or content analysis


• Experience writing descriptions, captions, or summaries of visual content


• Familiarity with different types of video content and visual storytelling
